A small team that
builds real things.
Akilion is an AI consulting firm based in Istanbul. We help companies build machine learning systems that run in production — not slide decks that sit in a drawer.
We started because we saw a gap: most AI consultancies sell strategy but can’t ship code. Most dev shops write code but don’t understand the business problem. We do both.
We’re deliberately small. No account managers, no layers of project managers between you and the engineers. When you hire us, you get the people who do the work.

What we believe
Production is the only metric
A model in a notebook is worth nothing. We measure success by whether the system is running, being used, and delivering measurable value. Everything else is overhead.
Honesty over sales
If your problem doesn’t need AI, we’ll say so. If your data isn’t ready, we’ll tell you what to fix first. We’d rather lose a deal than deliver something that doesn’t work.
Simple beats clever
We reach for the simplest approach that solves the problem. A well-tuned gradient-boosted tree often beats a complex neural network — and it’s easier to debug, explain, and maintain.
Transfer knowledge, not dependency
Every engagement ends with your team able to maintain and improve what we built. We document everything, pair with your engineers, and design for handoff from day one.
Who we are
Founded by a builder,
not a slide-deck person.
Akilion was started by Ensar Bera Tuncel in Istanbul. The idea was simple: most AI consulting is long on promises and short on production code. We wanted to be the opposite.
We’re a small, technical team. Everyone writes code. We don’t have a sales department or a “partnerships team.” When you work with us, you work with the people building your system.
We’re honest about what we can and can’t do. We won’t take a project if we don’t think we can deliver real value. And we’ll tell you upfront if your problem doesn’t need AI — sometimes a SQL query is the right answer.
